Invisalign is a system using comfortable and aesthetic clear aligners to straighten teeth

Powered by Invisalign iTero 3D scanners at our clinics. No more messy impressions!

Invisalign is a treatment for straightening teeth. Gentle Dental is proud to be a Certified Platinum Provider of Invisalign, and we are proud to have used this technology to transform many smiles.

Being keen adopters of technology, a 3D-guided tooth straightening process is a perfect fit for us at Gentle Dental.

First, we use our iTero 3D computer imaging scanners to recreate your teeth and smile on the computer. Then, we can depict a simulation of the complete treatment plan, from the initial position to the final desired position. No uncomfortable impressions necessary!

Next, we digitally transmit these 3D scans and photos to Invisalign in the USA, where we work with their technicians to come up with the final treatment plan. A series of aligners will be manufactured, each to be worn in sequence and each moving your teeth bit by bit. Upon approval, Invisalign then manufacturers the clear aligners and ships them back to us.

You’ll then come in for fitting for the aligners, attachments and interproximal reduction if necessary. Each aligner is then worn for 1-2 weeks, and we’ll see you every 4-8 weeks. The aligners have to be worn 20-22 hours a day, and removed only for eating and dental hygiene.

After the first course of treatment, we’ll reassess the alignment. If necessary, we’ll order additional aligners at little or no extra cost (depending on the Invisalign plan you choose) till the final result is achieved. After you’re satisfied with your new smile, retainers will be fabricated to be worn, full time for six months, and then nightly thereafter.

Advantages of Invisalign:

  • Comfort! Invisalign trays are close fitting and thin, and though some tightness is expected its generally very well tolerated.

  • Aesthetics! The aligners are clear, so its less obvious you’re going through treatment.

  • You can remove your aligners, so you can brush and floss properly and maintain good hygiene.

  • Also, because you can remove your aligners, you can enjoy your food as you usually do.

  • Minimal disruption to routine. Day to day activities can continue while you straighten your teeth.

  • Treatment time may be shorter for certain indications than conventional braces.

  • Invisalign appointments tend to be quick, and also less uncomfortable and further spaced apart.

  • Invisalign is affordable, with the cost varying depending on complexity of treatment.
